Where does the data come from?
WHOIS data comes from the registries (who-dat, RDAP, whois.vu). Archive history comes from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Worldwide traffic is estimated from the Tranco global popularity rank; search traffic and keywords come from Semrush's public data (US database), and authority from Ahrefs DR and our own link index. Results are cached for a few days, so repeat lookups are instant.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the rank come from?
From the Tranco list, a research-grade ranking of the top 1 million websites. It combines several popularity sources, including Google's Chrome UX Report and Cloudflare Radar, averaged over 30 days, so it is hard to manipulate.
Is this the same as Alexa Rank?
It plays the same role. Alexa Rank shut down in 2022; Tranco is the ranking most researchers use instead.
Why does my site have no rank?
Only the top 1 million websites in the world are ranked. Smaller sites have no rank yet; use the Website Traffic Checker to see their search traffic.
How far back does the history go?
About the last six weeks, one point per day.
Are these domain tools free?
Yes. All seven tools are free while they are in alpha: 5 checks a day without an account and 200 a day when signed in.
What does Alpha mean?
The tools are new and we are still testing them. They work on real data, but numbers, limits and pricing may change once they leave alpha.
Do I need to install an extension?
No. Everything runs on Wriai's servers. Enter a domain and read the report in your browser.
