Registries such as .vn hide WHOIS. We fall back to the first Internet Archive snapshot and mark it as approximate.

Where does the data come from?
WHOIS data comes from the registries (who-dat, RDAP, whois.vu). Archive history comes from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine. Worldwide traffic is estimated from the Tranco global popularity rank; search traffic and keywords come from Semrush's public data (US database), and authority from Ahrefs DR and our own link index. Results are cached for a few days, so repeat lookups are instant.

What is the Wayback Machine?
The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine saves copies of web pages over time. We read its index to show when a site was first and last archived.
Why check a website's history?
To see how long a site has really been online, what it used to be about, and whether it was ever a spam or adult site. This matters before buying a domain or a link.
What do gaps in the history mean?
Years without snapshots usually mean the site was offline, parked, or blocked the archive with robots.txt.
Can I open the old versions?
Yes. The first, latest and recent snapshots link straight to the archived page on web.archive.org.
Are these domain tools free?
Yes. All seven tools are free while they are in alpha: 5 checks a day without an account and 200 a day when signed in.
What does Alpha mean?
The tools are new and we are still testing them. They work on real data, but numbers, limits and pricing may change once they leave alpha.
Do I need to install an extension?
